Mexico Wedding 2013

Hi,

My name is Jemma and I am looking to get married in Mexico in June/July 2013.

I am struggling to decide on a resort...I like the look of the Azul Sensatori and Moon Palace but have been out off by the reviews of the beach?...

I also like the look of the Riu Palace Riveria Maya.

I am conscious of cost due to family members attending and I can not pick any adults only resorts as I have a young daughter.

Are there any UK brides that can recommend any resorts and/or travel agents to book through?

Thanks

Jemma

Hello Jemma

I'm a UK bride!

I'm getting married at Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa. Great for adults and kids (I have a young daughter too)

Alot of my family members couldnt afford to stay at Dreams; so they are staying at a different resort and will be coming to Dreams for the wedding.

I have booked the holiday with Virgin Holidays and booked the wedding directly through the resort.

Hope this helps

:)

Hola Jemma!

Welcome to the forums :) I always thought that Le Reve is a wonderful option for weddings, I did this wedding there, the Groom and Bestmen, are British, and TV presenters, speech time was UNBELIEVABLY funny.

Hi Jemma, I'm a uk bride and getting married in the Moon Palace Oct 2013. We have booked with Thomas cook.. It's really difficult trying to pin down one hotel as they are so beautiful but we decided on the Moon Palace as we have two children travelling with us. Whichever hotel you choose, it will be fantastic The reviews about the beach arent that much of a concern to me, apparently it's just a line of sea grass at the waters edge and they clear it often. Let us know which resort you decide on and feel free to get in touch if you have any questions

Hi Jemma,

Congrats on getting married and choosing Mexico. Here is a link to a wedding we shot at Azul Sensatori. While the facilities are nice and the food was good for an AI, I would have to agree with what you have heard about the beach. There are periods when they can have seaweed problems. We solved that by doing a Trash the Dress in a cenote instead of getting into the water at the resort.

Good luck

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
