Freaking out bride!!!

Recommended Posts

Ok, so I was reading another post and she said that she got a different time for her ceremony b/c another bride hadn't confirmed her time. So I started freaking out. I went through a travel agent and she just gave me my confirmation number for my wedding and our hotel and flight. Well when you go to riu.com/weddings it has a little thing on the right that has you put in your confirmation number and hit confirm. But then you have to put in all this stuff and your credit card number. But I don't know if thats to GET a confirmation or if you have one. I'm just so confused. And since I only got my confirmation number just recently and I haven't heard from Chandlyn yet should I email her first or wait. I don't want to lose my time b/c I got 4 and thats the latest one. HELLLLLP!!!!

Cali - Relax and try and breathe. You have no reason to freak out. Did this other bride post that she now has the time you tyhought you confirmed or is it different? I don't completely understand.

However you can't do too muchabout it in the middle of the night. You can do is email whoever at the hotel now to confirm your date, time confirmation # etc. and tell her you will be calling her first thing in the morning to confirm everything. Then call her around 9 or 10am their time.

It will be fine - seriously. Do not get upset until there is something to be upset about.

After I got my confirmation number, I went to the RIU Weddings site and put it in, answered all of the questions and put my credit card info in. Don't worry, they don't charge your credit card, it's just used to hold your wedding. Just do it now, there shouldn't be a problem. Let me know if it works.

I wouldn't worry.. I'm sure your travel agent did the same thing. I hope they went to the riu site. That's what I did about my time. In fact I changed the time a few hours behind and it wasn't a problem either.

good luck

There right dont freak out... I also was able to change my time because the other bride didnt confirm the time. BUT I had to wait 3 days while the Riu tried to get in touch with the other couple just to make sure. I didnt have my travel agent book my wedding on the Riu web site I did that on my own. And yeah I think its silly that you have to confirm that you are confirming...lol

Ok girls, Just wanted to let you know everythings confirmed. I don't know what happened but I did the confirmation at the RIU and my TA just emailed me the email with the confirmation voucher from the RIU so I'm good...unless I'm missing something else. But I'm set for Dec. 18, 2007 at 4 on the beach. YAY!! Thanks for not letting me stress out too much!

Great! Now what you should do just to be in contact with Chandlyn is email her your confirmation number and introduce yourself and you can start asking her for info!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
