Ladies,

 

thanks for all the advise! I finally emailed the head office for my travel agent and got the Western Regional Manager involved, make a long story short she has pretty much got me back to the price that I was quoted 2 months ago... I am pretty happy that they were able to work with me and make me happy!!! There is still really no solution for my Winnipeg guests but we will work something out, they keep suggesting that they wait until like April or early Summer to book something but i would hate for them not to be able to come, so we will have to figure something out but the biggest part is solved and i can get on with everything else!!!!!

Hey Jolene!

 

Ours is going good! I'm definitely starting to feel stressed a bit, 70 days until we take off to Jamaica! I'm trying to get everything done before the crazy busy holiday season too!

Getting all my favours finalized, starting my dress fittings in a couple weeks and now onto seating charts and stuff. Destination defintely seems easy until close to the wedding! lol

Just can't wait to step off the plane in Jamaica!!! woo! lol

How's everything coming along with your planning?

Wow you must be getting so excited.... just take a deep breath everything will work out perfectly!

I sent out invitations last weekend and am just starting to here that people are getting them, and I bought my dress on Friday so things are coming along slowly but surely I keep saying that I have so much time... a year yesterday until the actual wedding so I am just taking it all in and trying to enjoy the planning!

that is awesome that you are done and ready so far before you go... this is really what I want I dont want to be totally stressed and over thinking I just want to be able to relax and enjoy the time before we go! This is why I wanted to have a destination wedding!

 

did you di a lot of DIY things for your wedding? Are you bringing a lot of decor and such with you???

no ot at all.... i am going very simple.... i dont want to have a bag full of stuff just for the wedding.... i am basically letting the resort take care of everything...  i am just bringing my favor which are the travel mugs from factory 21 on ebay... that alone almost takes up my suitcase as I am up to almost 50 guests.  Flowers also arent going to be a big thing for me as we cant take them home...  I am trying to keep my costs down as I am having another party back home in apr for those who couldnt make the wedding.

That is awesome, that is sort of the way I have been feeling about everything... just let the resort handle it! we will see how that goes I am getting married in Cuba and apperently they dont have a lot of decor there so i may bring a few things but I don't want to lug it all down there with me!

 

I am so excited that your wedding is so close! have you been planning for long?

Oh that is so me... but my bridesmaids are all abot me having the bridal experience it is actually pretty funny they made me go to the bridal show and then once we were there they realized that nothing there applied to me so maybe they will chill a little!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
