Hello Everyone!

 

I want to start out by saying a big "Thank you!" to everyone who contributes to this site!  I always knew I wanted a destination wedding and once I was engaged in March I started searching around the vast amount of information on the internet.  Finding this website was a god-send!  There is such a wealth of information here and I appreciate each and every one of you. 

 

My fiance and I just received our confirmation for Dreams Tulum July 26, 2013! 

 

We met while I was a flight attendant and he was (still is) a pilot (it's no surprise we are having a travel-themed wedding!).  My job took me to Cancun area so for me choosing that destination was a no-brainer.  Choosing the resort took much more effort!  We both have very traditional families so we decided we wanted a non-beach/chapel ceremony.  He is divorced and not-catholic so a Catholic ceremony is not our ideal situation but most of the chapels in the resorts in Riviera Maya are Catholic.  After much searching, we found Dreams Tulum, which has a lovely little chapel and will do non-denominational weddings in it! 

 

Unfortunately, neither of us have been to that resort before, but the pictures look beautiful!  I'd love to hear from you if you've been there and any advice you can give.

Hola Jamie + Fiance - Congrats + welcome aboard the forum! You've made an excellent choice of destinations, and are sure to find all the info you need here - plus tons of support!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
