Hi All,

I booked my wedding at Moon Palace for Sept this year before christmas and I didnâ€t know about the translating of birth certificates. Iâ€m guessing this is a new thing as MP havenâ€t been in touch for a while (this seems to be a trend) have they been in touch with you? I booked directly with MP which seemed the better way at the time, however I now feel like I've been forgotten lol

Iâ€ve not seen many UK brides on here so Iâ€m so glad I found your thread :)

Please help!

I had a phone call from Hayes & Jarvis (Thomson specialist) and they told me that now...all we need to take is birth certificates... No translation before we go or legalisation. Just turn up with your birth certificates by the sounds of it. Apparently it just meas that our parents names won't be on marriage certificates. So I just wasted £70 legalising our b.certs. Gggggrrrrr xx

Hi. I have just returned from getting married at the moon palace, it was amazing, in relation to birth certificates etc, we simply just took them, not legalised before, all sorted in resort, I have a translation of marriage certificate and all other papers. It was simple process. On site coordination is excellent. The coordinator will arrange meeting with you, she will go through every detail with you. Enjoy planning. I want to go back!!

Congratulations S-H!! I am so pleased you wrote on here, it's hard to get questions answered by the moon palace so to hear your wedding was perfect and the process simple is a huge relief If you don't mind me asking, we are planning to have the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner in either restaurant or outdoors but would like to have some sort of party/reception after the dinner. Did the wedding coordinator go through any options with you for things to do after the dinner reception?? We have 30 people coming with us now so would like to make the most of the whole day and night for as long as possible as we are not doing anything when we come home (party on the beach or one of the terraces etc.. ) Congratulations again :-) Donna xx

Just to say " best wishes" as we are out at MP now for our daughters wedding. Amazing, you've chosen a great place. If I may offer some advice, try and get your rooms in 'grand' as they are far better than 'nizuc' IMHO. But you may get sea views in nizuc side. Second, sorry, but Thomas Cook were rubbish. MP staff are fabulous but for complex stuff you need someone who speaks Spanish with you. Don't use Thomas cook on line or phone, go direct to the agent shops. Summary, Moon Palace is amazing and you'll have a fabulous time. With Thomas cook, make sure you get everything in writing and always double check. Best wishes.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
