Help! Please. I am getting married in 7 weeks, I have just seen your messages regarding birth certificates and now I am in a panic. Both myself and my partner have the actual certified copies which we had to order but haven't done anything else with them do we need to? We are having translations done in resort. I am worried. Can anyone help please? Thank you

Hi ladystardust- yes we got our b certs ordered through GRO. If you choose to get trans done in Mexico that's all you need to do however should you choose to get them trans over in uk you have to send to embassy for them to stamp once trans is complete. It works out just as cheap to get it done there. I was panicking for a while. It's all going well thanks for asking, costing much more than imagined though with lighting for terrace, decorations etc I hoped to take my own bit at £100 usd per table I decided to go with Zuniga who are providing the lighting. I am sure it will all be wonderful. To be honest I thought that we would just turn up and sort everything out there. It's a shame that hasn't been the case. I am feeling nervous about it all turning out - sure will be great and worrying about nothing. How are your plans going?

That's a relief, yes the costs are going up all the time but I suppose if you weigh it up against what we will spend at home, it def won't seem as much xx It will all be worth it and just do what feels right for you. How many guests do you have??? Things are finally starting to get moving now, dresses all done, just H2b who is not sorted but he leaves everything til the last minute and Im leaving him to it lol x

That's right, if we were to get married here alone without a honeymoon it would be more. Have you been to moon palace before? We did 7 years ago and from that moment decided we would go back at get married but setting up and having a baby has put if off until now. We are thrilled that we are all going making it extra special. We are a total party of 14. I am very excited - 6 weeks to go! How many in your party?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
