I got married in 2004 in Riveria Maya, it was so stress free, what we did find out though you have to be in resort so many days before you can get married, also we had to have sypilis blood test. We want to get married on my husbands birthday on the 21st but we couldn't get married until the 26th. I would ask if you still have to have these blood tests or if you can have them in England.

Hi Linda

will you be doing a renewal of vows???

I think that this is different from the civil ceremony.  Take a look at http://www.palaceresorts.com/weddings/requirements-guidelines-en.html and it will help you with your questions.

As far as i am aware you do not need the blood test for a renewal but if it was a civil ceremony the blood test has to be done at the resort xxx

Hope this helps x

Haha no I won't be renewing them I am going away with my friend for a girlie holiday and leaving him at home with the dog. I have decided not to go to Moon Palace now and going to Dreams resort and spa, reason being I have booked a dolphin view room, basically you sit on your balcony every day looking at them mmm. Let's just hope I have made the right decision because it's not so modern and it's costing like 5k for the two of us.

Hello October Brides! I just requested  for 10/24/13 and waiting to hear a conformation for date and time. Also wondering if anyone has heard anything about resort credit for 2013 being used for add-ons to complimentary package. I 'm really excited and looking forward to getting married at MP.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
