Which ones? The Save the Dates are Wedding Paper Divas and the Passports are Ana DeRoux- google her- she has a website and a FB page with lots of designs. These are $5 each but the benefit of a destination wedding is you need less of everything, so I figured the price was fine.

So here's what I ended up doing for invitations. Ordered these from Beach Wedlock Invitations http://www.beachwedlockinvitations.com/beach-wedding-invitations-beach-invitations-passport-invitations-bonus-rsvpbr18790-p-1183.html?osCsid=812017e4408eb9619a8b1a4c94026d80 and they came with everything you see pictured. I just had to fold these up, loop on the gold cord (arrived pre-tied) and stuff them in the gold-lined envelopes. You can customize these with any colors you like and can use a color photo, I just happened to like this black and white photo of us so I used it. They also offer other cute passport covers that are more beachy-themed, but I liked the idea of these looking like real passports.

100 invites + tear-off RSVP cards, pre-addressed return RSVP envelopes and gold-lined mailing envelopes + shipping= $295

Figured that was cheaper than what I could make them for so I went for it! The seller worked with me on several revisions until we had it just right and they were super fast. I'd recommend!

I LOVE these!  I wish I had seen these before I ordered mine 'cause I could have saved $500!  I will post a picture of mine once I get them in a couple weeks!

we created a logo for our April wedding in Mexico.  We then had leather travel wallets made with the logo, as well as luggage tags - that had each persons name engraved on one.  We included a pen with the logo - and created an invitation that looks just like an airline ticket!  We boxed them in a beautiful gold box with ribbon.  If I could figure out how to post an image I would show you!  Very unique and everyone loved them.

that sounds so lovely! If the picture is on your computer, just click on the little picture box that says "Insert Image" when you put your mouse on top of it.

I am having such a hard time with my invites. I was OBSESSED with my save the dates. BUT i do not want to spend a fortune on my invites ( i feel like people like the STDS more than the invites and keep them longer! I really like pocketfold but I do not want to spend an arm and a leg on them!!!

Have you tried Wedding Paper Divas? They have simple invitations and you can purchase the pocketfold. I have a sample in my house and we liked them and probably should have gone with them to save money but we chose a slightly more expensive option (but compromised quantity to afford them). Im convinced wedding invitations end up in the trash, on the floor of a car, in the glove compartment- because no offense to my friends but thats what happens when they get married. We use them for the direction cards day of and then they never leave my car lol. The only reason we chose the ones we did was because 1) We skimped on the Save The Dates 2) We do acknowledge that the invites set the tone for the wedding and excite people 3) they are usually photographed by the photographer. 4) I worked a few hours of overtime at work to pay for them!

When we did a cost comparison, we were able to afford the more expensive ones because we ordered a smaller quantity. I skimped on sending them to certain guests- like our bridal party who is already all booked. Mostly the groomsmen, I'm still sending to my maids, because the groomsmen told us they "lost" our Save the Dates. They are single guys lol I doubt they care about the invitations. Also- I had a brother and sister who lived in separate households and they thought I was silly to send them each a STD. They told me I could have sent one and addressed them as "Nunez Family". So we shall order less! Cut corners where they need to be cut! I firmly believe invitations are a place where you can and should save some bucks.

I actually did try wedding paper divas. BUT I found that you could only personalize them to a point. I found this website http://www.mygatsby.com/ and they let you go further with the personalization. I may order from them!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
