My Invitations came from a local company that uses one of those horrible invitations books. I brought her my idea of what I wanted my invites to look like  and luckily for me the vendor helped me customize an invitation she said we could choose any motif, paper, and ink color as long as it was in the same book.  we didn't have to search the book ourselves she found it and sent to the printer the layout I had already customized.  It saved us a ton of money, I was originally going to go custom from a stationary boutique, but it was so expensive.   I hate those invitation books because they are so cookie-cutter but if you look past the samples in the book you can make something remarkable.

So here's what I ended up doing for invitations. Ordered these from Beach Wedlock Invitations http://www.beachwedlockinvitations.com/beach-wedding-invitations-beach-invitations-passport-invitations-bonus-rsvpbr18790-p-1183.html?osCsid=812017e4408eb9619a8b1a4c94026d80 and they came with everything you see pictured. I just had to fold these up, loop on the gold cord (arrived pre-tied) and stuff them in the gold-lined envelopes. You can customize these with any colors you like and can use a color photo, I just happened to like this black and white photo of us so I used it. They also offer other cute passport covers that are more beachy-themed, but I liked the idea of these looking like real passports.

100 invites + tear-off RSVP cards, pre-addressed return RSVP envelopes and gold-lined mailing envelopes + shipping= $295

Figured that was cheaper than what I could make them for so I went for it! The seller worked with me on several revisions until we had it just right and they were super fast. I'd recommend!

Oh how fun!  Yay for June 22nd!  The time is already flying.  I know it's going to be here before we know it!

Those are really cute, and what a GREAT price!  A little part of me (a part that I refuse to acknowledge most of the time, lol) wishes I had done a little more shopping around before I decided to make my own invitations.  Mine won't be passports or boarding pass or anything, but I couldn't find anything I liked so I bought all my paper and am just having them printed.  They're going to be about $4 each when it's all said and done, and they will be a lot of work.  You live, you learn!

But at least you can take pride in making them yourself! And I'm sure your guests will love them, so it'll be worth it in the end. :)

My Save The Dates and invitations DO NOT match- we went with these quirky Save the Dates because we are both funny characters. We also had not nailed down a Theme for our wedding but needed to send out Save The Dates so people could start booking. I ordered the Save the Dates from Wedding Paper Divas. We made business cards for our Travel Agent to hang up with the Save The Date magnets. We bought envelope seals from staples and address labels for our printer:

Our invitations are being made by a woman named Ana DeRoux. You can check out her designs on FB. I think her prices are reasonable. This pic isn't our invitations- but its the ones we ordered. Ours won't arrive for 3-4 more weeks. We are changing the colors of the peacock feathers to navy blue, teal, and aqua. We are taking out the Purple and gree.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
