Does anyone know what the sound system actually is? Do they have speakers set up around the reception location for the beachfront casita? $540 is kinda crazy if it's actually just an iPod Dock.

I was also almost 100% positive on booking with Iberostar as well, and have recently decided to go with Secrets, wild orchid (most likely). They do include more in their packages than iberostar did, but I kind of feel like anything extra you add on is really expensive. Some of the stuff we can definitely do without, or I can bring my own, I'm hoping. I keep reminding myself that this is supposed to be a simple wedding, but Ikeep finding too many ideas on this website!!!

im in ohio too! im booking at wild orchid...wedding dec 3 1013! cant freaking wait!! good luck with planning!!!!

i'm in december also. i just got back from secrets (i went to get some planning done) and i was reminded again how beautiful it is there! i'm def so anxious!  it's almost here for us both!!!!

I am definitely getting an outside photographer. I am still in the process of picking a place, but im pretty sure this is it. Im not looking for anything extravagant. Does anyone know if you can just pick and choose things instead of doing a package? Theres some things on there I don't care for, or if you know if they credit you for want you don't want (like extra boutonnieres and corsages).

So glad to hear I made a good decision on switching from Iberostar to Secrets!! I'm super excited to get more planning underway!! When is your big day? Are you bringing in any outside vendors? I'd love to hear more about your wedding!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
