The hotel grounds were clean and huge!  I had 35 people including 2 kids under 2 and 4 tweens and everyone had a good time.

They originally booked garden view because it was cheaper but were located far from the main grounds which made me nervous so I kept calling and it ended up everyone was in the front.

The rooms were clean, some air conditioners worked very well, some didn't.  There were almost nightly power outages.  Just remember to pull the key card out and put it back in the slot and your room's power is back on.  (No one told us and stumbled upon it by mistake)

The best restaurant was Tamarindo (Mexican) the bIuffet was ok.  If you've traveled to all inclusive resort's before you know what to expect.

They had plenty of activities for everyone.

I'm not sure how much WBA is charging you but I would look at CE if you could.

Congratulations mvee! It's so good to hear that you enjoyed your big day and I appreciate you coming back to share the good and the bad! You said you wanted to walk to your own music for the ceremony. How did that work? Did you bring your own radio system, or did the resort take care of that and que the music for you? I have a fountain ceremony as well with a violinist, and would prefer to walk to my own music as well but I didn't know how that would work. I booked Pastor Mark Lykins as well and it's great to hear that you had a wonderful experience with him! What time did your ceremony begin? And what time did your reception begin? I'm trying to make sure we have enough time to take pics in between the ceremony and dinner. Do you have any pictures to share (ceremony and reception setup)? I'd love to see your menus, fans, bubble chairs and photo booth! Thanks!

Hi ladies, Getting married in now larimar feb 2014 with... Only 4 guests coming!! Picked the 'your moments package' can any one explain how the service works... What's included like vows, signing the book, background music etc.... It mentions that no decor is included in wedding location is that correct that you have to pay like $12 per chair etc?? Did anyone get the rose petals isle? What would be the best reception location? Is the private beach dinner worth it? I'm on all inclusive regardless...

Thanks!

We packed everything in suitcases or carried on the fragile items, nothing was shipped. It actually wasn't too bad. One suitcase for all our decor, and then I used the empty suitcase coming home to carry our wedding clothes home.

I feel so silly I have seen a few threads with reference to seeing Jellyfish not sure what people are referring too? Also I was I thought a room was set aside for Brides to get ready before the wedding and that was included with wedding packages  but I have also observed references to having to reserve and pay $150 for a room? Any insight on this would be helpful thanks

Hi, I am wondering if anyone knows the Diameter of the large round tables they use at the receptions? I'm trying to have table runners made, Is anyone else thinking of doing this? @ Chawny - the room to get ready in is part of the spa and its $150 dollars to rent it for half the day and it includes champagne and snacks. I believe the Jellyfish is a wedding/restaurant venue off of the resort property.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
