Yes unfortunately it is.  We booked before they changed the policy so our vendor fee is only 150.

For me, pics are the most important part of everything so I felt it was well worth having an outside photographer.  I looked at both HDC and Caribbean Emotions ended up with CE.

I felt they had a variety of economical options to choose from and were very accommodating.

I just got off the phone with the Now Larimar... I had not heard from Silvia in over a week... I was informed that she is no longer with them, and I have a new Coordinator whom I spoke with and she told me she had many e-mails and she would reply to my e-mail in 24 to 48 hours its already been over a week since I had e-mailed her... Is anyone else having this problem...

Ok so i am just starting to plan for my nov 8 2013 wedding. as of now one of my wedding guest is my photographer so thats done. from this thread I have learned about the needing 2 sets of chair sashes... so if i do chair sash I will keep that in mind. But my question is about a dj, does anyone know the fee of hiring an outside company?  DJ Mania has been in contact with me more then Now  and I feel it mat be easier to do business with them lol. As of now we have 54 people coming. so I guess I should start figuring somethings out. Thanks for any info you all want to share :)

We are just going with the resort DJ since we are having an outside photographer and I didn't want to pay another outside vendor fee. I heard good things about the resort DJ so I guess we shall see!

It all depends what services you need. If you want just DJ services and no extras I say stick with the resort. I went with DJ Mannia because I also want a lighted dance floor & projector and screen. It came out to be about $800 more in the price if I stayed with the resort for all those services. So I don't mind paying the vendor fee. msnwink.gif

I'm just about 2 1/2 more weeks away till my wedding day!!!!

So stressed with all the little things that still need to get done! I can't wait for this planning to be over!!! lol

So far we have 94 guests booked! Having a fountain ceremony, carnival terrace cocktail, and Castaways reception!!!!!! So excited!!!!

I am having Gary from Innovart Decorations come in to decorate. He has taken a tremendous amount of stress off of me with this planning. Let me know if you have any questions ladies!!! :)

Sorry, I haven't been on in a while.  We actually decided to do the ceremony by the fountain.  We originally were going to do it on the beach but I read a bunch that the beach isn't private which made me uneasy.  Are you doing it oceanside?

I wish I wasn't such a control freak, I would have loved to do it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
