I am sure you will look beautiful on your wedding day know matter what! What stores have you gone to?

Davidâ€s Bridal is really good thatâ€s where I got my dress as well.

Thatâ€s amazing you have 40 people canâ€t wait until the deadline I think mine is August 15th:)

Hello ladies! I have chosen tangerine and fuchsia as our colors, very tropical! i think I have also decided on HDC as our photographers, and I'm thinking of going with the platinum plus package~ I can't believe all you get with that package! Still concerned with the reception, and the cost of DJ plus MC. What are you ladies doing for that?

Whats the platinum plus package? Is it the same as the Devine?
Those colours will look wonderful there!!

We're just bringing down an ipod doc and downloading all the music on there we want played for the three hours we have the reception instead of paying for all the extra costs of the dj etc...

Oh I'm sorry to be confusing, I meant the platinum plus package for the HDC photography. Also what deadline is everyone talking about for guests?

Oh okay thanks for clearing that up :)

The deadline we're talking about is the time the guests have until to put the deposits down on their trips to get the group rate.

We booked our trip in June sometime and our travel agent gives the guests 3 months to get their deposits in by. So come September for us we will know approximately how many guests we will have attending our wedding in DR and we can start shopping for reception items etc.

Hope that helps

Oh ok, gotcha! what if they decide to book after the deadline? no group rate? also, did u send out your invites notifying them of the deadline? I havent had anyone book their trip yet, although my TA booked a room block. My wedding isnt until Aug 2013, and I have to wait til Sept for airfare prices.

Hello,

Yea after you book after the deadline that you have with your travel agent people can no longer get the group discount, but they still can book they just might not as great of a deal. I did put the deadline date in my invitations I actually put in an earlier date then the actual deadline so people wont wait to the last minute and or if someone forgot they still have some time.

This is how I added it in my invitation... I did a pocket invitation so was able to add a lot of information cards inside.

As soon as we booked our trips we sent out save the date magnets (I got them from magnetstreet.com). On them it says our names, the week we're travelling, where we're travelling, our website (which has all travel information) and we used business cards and used them as an Information card. On the information card we put the travel agents contact information, the amount of the deposit, the due date for it and directed people again to our website to get full pricing information etc.

Yah if they book after which some people will do they won't get the group rate and may have to pay more to go.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
