We both agreed he would probably get a suit for this special occasion. Now that we're 75 days from our date, he has agreed to go shopping for one. We went to Jos A Bank, but it became clear that he needs an "athletic" cut (shoulders and chest wide). He's going to try Men's Warehouse and I think we should go into Brooks Brothers.

Finding a men's suit is a whole new shopping experience for me. Any suggestions on where to go or what to look for in a suit for proper fit would be appreciated!

are places like Macy's out? They are having a sale on their linen suits right now. Brands like Tommy Bahama, Calvin Klein and Kenneth Cole.

We purchased my FI suit from Jos A Bank's they stay cool tropical blend suits on sale for $197 with and additional 25%.  So we ordered him one on a Saturday and it arrived on Tuesday. It is a really light suit and nicely made.  They also have a great return policy you can return it for up to a year and get refunded as long as the suit has not been altered. But we won't be returning his :)

I made a trip to Macy's and bought two Perry Ellis 3-piece herringbone linen suites for $168 each (one for Fi and Best Man).  It was marked down by 30% and they had a special offer over the weekend were they took off an additional 25% off for suit purchase over $100. Oddly enough the price in stores was cheaper than the online price by about 10-15% depending on which suit you're interested in. My Fi likes the fit, just needs to hem the pants and I think he's decided to not wear the blazer so he doesn't bake in the sun.

My Fi wanted to order the the Hawaiian grey linen suit from studio suits, but we got nervous about a purchasing a custom suit made in a different country with no return policy. Plus the Macy's option was cheaper.

My fiance had the same issue.  He def needed athletic cut also.  There was no way slim cut was going to fit him...We bought his at Nordstrom.  We ended up geeting ivory but they also had it available in a light oatmeal color which was very nice.  I think it came to about $400.

He wound up going back to Macy's and finding one he liked. http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/kenneth-cole-jacket-tan-solid-cotton-slim-fit?ID=652994&PseudoCat=se-xx-xx-xx.esn_results It's Kenneth Cole Tan Cotton Suit in case the link doesn't work. When we picked it up it clearly had not been pressed, so it was rather wrinkled. He was surprised that cotton would wrinkle. (SIGH) My dad and brother (best man) got suits from JC Penny http://www.jcpenney.com/dotcom/stafford-essentials-bone-linen-look-suit-jacket/prod.jump?ppId=1dd544b&selectedLotId=5530652&selectedSKUId=55306520109&navState=navState-:catId-:subcatId-:subcatZone-false:N-:Ns-:Nao-0:ps-24:pn-1:Ntt-linnen+suit:Nf-:action-search&catId=SearchResults

I found a website on how James Bond picks out his suits and that if they fit you look better... so advice from someone else worked better than hearing it from me!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
