At times I seem to be a rather thrifty shopper... after being a bridesmaid probably one too many times, I learned about a bridal salon that you can order your dress from and it gets shipped directly to you, thus saving hundreds of dollars. So of course this is what I did, and after much anticipation, my dress arrived on my doorstep last week. This presents several problems. First of all, I can't stop wanting to try it on- I hid it in the guest room closet but the whole idea of out of sight out of mind just doesn't seem to work when it comes to your wedding dress Two- I can't stop unzipping the bag to take a peek.
The biggest eye opening experience that I had and thankfully it did arrive this early, I came to the realization that I probably had a few too many margaritas at the pool this Summer, along with pizza, beer, and pretty much anything else I could find and you guessed it- the dress doesn't fit. And when I say it doesn't fit- I am not blowing this out of proportion- literally does not zip. Not even close. So I guess I have to finally start hitting the gym. So for the last three days, I have had my gym bag nicely packed away in the car. Where it has sat nicely for the last three days. Fingers crossed that tomorrow is the day that I go for it but I am not holding my breath. In some ways I find it comical, but it others it is kind of a bride's worst nightmare come true. I guess it really should be motivation though!
I also ordered my shoes for the wedding which I love- they are the Badgely Mishka Zowie. I wanted a flat shoes so that if I last minute changed my ceremony to have it on the beach, I would still have a shoes that works.
But after I was all set with the dress and shoes, I happened to do some more online shopping and came to another purchase....
