@Karyc I love bocci thats awesome! I was planning on bringing my dads make shift bocci set... I know most of them are pretty heavy, but my dad made one using a golf ball and old crocket balls... he just painted them different colours! It works great and is super light! Maybe that would be an option? Or depending on where you are getting married I know a lot of resorts in Cuba have bocci sets that maybe you could borrow!

All great ideas!!  I am having my wedding at the Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort and Spa in Jamaica this coming March and have been looking for ideas.  I have one game that is a drinking game but can include many guests. I've heard it by many name.. tippy cup, flip cup, boat races...ect. Equal size teams,  plastic cup filled with beer(or drink of choice), first person on each team starts by drinking their drink as fast as possible and then once their drink is done place the cup upside down and slightly hanging over the edge of the table, then they proceed to try and flip their cup to the upright position ( may take many tries), the next person can not start drinking their drink until the previous person has their cup upright. Continue until the last person has their cup upright... fastest team wins.   Really fun if you have 2 teams on a long table facing each other.

Ive heard of this game too, its a lot of fun, especially with big groups!

Perhaps the venue will already have horseshoes games in place, as an alternative?

I'm trying to think up some sort of hotel scavenger hunt, any ideas?

I'm looking for ideas of games or activities that I could organize throughout the week at the resort so that our guests could get to know each other better. We have a lot of people coming and I want the different groups to interact, and want to be able to see people as often as possible. I figured if we put some events on the Welcome booklet then they are welcome to drop in and meet the other guests if they are just lounging that day anyways. One idea I had is to have a beer chugging competition, where our guests would get into teams, and the winning team gets a prize. I was also thinking maybe we could organize a volleyball game with just our guests on one of the days, for whoever is on the resort and wants to show up.. Any other ideas?   We've got some prizes planned for guests who meet certain 'criteria' throughout the week, and all the prizes come with a T-shirt with a label describing what they 'won' (and that they won it at our wedding in Jamaica)... For example we have the 'PARTY ANIMAL' award for the Guest who gets a little too wild. And we've got the "SUN BURN CHAMPION" award. And the "PARTY FOUL" award for the guest who gets too sloppy. I think we will make ones for "BEER CHUGGING CHAMPION" too, for the winners of the beer chugging competition.. Any other ideas? I hope my fiance doesn't win them all haha.

LIann03, there is a forum on here, search scavenger hunt. I got a ton of ideas from it and then looked up an APP for smart phones and created a scavenger hunt game for our wedding weekend festivities with a start & end date and time. Every thing is points based, you post a pic, you can see the other teams leader boards, etc. I'm sending out all this info to our guests in a Newsletter with pics of the app to download and then I'm also including a list of the things to hunt/find and their point value in our Welcome Bags so people without smart phones can play if they would like, use their digital camera and email me the photos. We said the winner will be announced when we return home and a prize will be mailed out.

Thinking about picking up some sort of cool souvenir there for the winner(s)
