Are there any brides planning on tying the knot at Sunset at the Palms?? Or anyone who recently got married there? I loooovvveeee the romantic vibe of the resort! I wonder if it will be a good fit for a large group of people in a range of ages.(I'm just starting to look at my options but we know we'll be getting married in Jamaica).  Looking for any pricing on private reception and any comments/advice/reviews/thoughts on SATP. Thanks in advance for taking the time to reply and happy planning to the brides to be!

They book up fast!! I am having my wedding at a sister property and I wanted to honeymoon at the Palms but all of the rooms are gone for the weekend I wanted :(

Its done.....you can read my planning journal or the review...long over due.

@ mrlddst - I've stayed at SATP several times, and have been surprised that it doesn't fill up sooner.  I've never run into a problem booking.  Looking at your wedding date, I think the reason you had problems was because Aug 4th falls during ATI weekend - one of the biggest party weekends of the year, and it takes place in Negril.  If you look at any of the hotels in Negril, you will likely find most of them booked out well in advance.  Look 2 weeks in either direction, and I bet there's lots of availability.

@ lexilady - Congratulations.  I am booked to get married at SATP later this year.  So far, I have been very pleased with their wedding coordinator, Kimika.  She has been able to provide me with any information I have requested, and has been a lot of fun to work with.  The resort is fabulous and I am looking forward to having my wedding there.  So far our guest count is around 40 (but still growing!).
