Hi Ladies, has anyone gottern married at Beach Palace or any resort for that matter where there were multiple weddings in 1 day. My resort has 4 weddings including mine the day we get married. I'm nervous this will be hectic...and that I won't get the ceremony/reception location I want...anyone have to deal with this before?

Sooo today they told me all I had to leave was a deposit for one night in order to reserve the date and get a group booking code for my invites...which i did, via email, not fax, hope that is ok? Now on this blog and online people are saying that you need to pay for the bride and groom's stay in full and block and sign a "group contract" in order to get the booking code for invites?? Does anyone know the true story...This is making me crazy right now...wish the had a 24hr line.

Brebon,

I had the contract experience. We had to pay for our stay in full and sign a contract to lock in our group rate and to block rooms for our guests. When our guests call to reserve a room they will only have to pay for 2 nights stay to make their reservation and then the remainder is due 60 (maybe 90 days?? but i think 60 is right) before the trip. I have no idea if there is any other weddings on my day or not, but I didn't have any trouble getting the time I wanted and I insisted on confirmation of the ceremony location (Sky Terrace) before signing my contract. I am not as picky about the reception location, but the Sky Terrace is why we chose Beach Palace, so I wanted to make sure we'd be able to get married on the rooftop.

I am getting more worried about the active planning... picking out flowers, music, food... I am confused on how that works and when/who I talk to. I am feeling lost on my budget right now, because i have NO IDEA what that will cost!! Do you know anything about that process?

Ugh...I'm stressing out too!

I signed a wedding contract and put 50% down on my wedding package. BUT I decided to not sign the group contract because I don't want to have to control how/when my guests book their trips. I know many of them will book through outside websites such as www.travelocity.com because it's more affordable than booking through the hotel.

My sales coordinator from Palace Resorts told me multiple times that if all my guests book through the same website than I can still get the promotions, such as cocktail hours and private dinners. The only promotion that the group contract guarantees is the complimentary nights, which I won't get if I don't sign the group contract. That's ok with me though- I'm really just worried about the dinner and cocktail hour amenities.

I was told I had to pay for bride/groom's full stay at the hotel as well, in order to block off rooms.

Any help with reception details is welcome! I'm lost on reception too, such as music, upgrades, location, etc...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
