Cheesy or Cute?

Recommended Posts

I'm getting married in Tulum, MX. Since I'm not the creative type I was looking for some way to add my sense of humor to the reception. I was inspired by a knottie, but took the idea and went a little further. let me know your honest opinion....

Okay, so for our guests name and table number I was going to use moroccas with their names and table number painted on them..with a not about shaking them for the bride and groom to kiss. Then for the cheesy part...everyone that knows me and FI knows our fat pug Rosie (as in my avatar). I was thinking of taking a picture of her with a big colorful sombrero on and adding the table numbers somewhere on the picture. Then getting some fun frames to display it in and setting them on the tables for our numbers. It could be used as part of the centerpiece as well!! I thought it was really cute..but please feel free to let me know the truth!!! Thanks!!!

Personally, I think it's adorable!

Depending on how well your puggy would cooperate, you could have him posing on the table numbers. So, one table number could be on a doggie T-shirt. Another number could be in a frame on the ground and then him do "shake/paw" and place his paw on top of the frame. Would he hold a piece of wood in his mouth? You could go to Hobby Lobby and get a wood number and paint it and then have him hold it in his mouth.

Oh, this idea just gets cuter and cuter!

I think the more personal you can make your wedding the more you will enjoy your day. My wedding was incredibly personal and my friends and family really felt a part of the event because they could feel our personalities in everything we did.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
