St. Lucia Coconut Bay Resort wedding?! Please Help!!

Recommended Posts

  • 3 months later...

I'm getting married in St. Lucia at Windjammer Landing this November. I 've been to St. Lucia 3 times and my fiance is from the Island. I haven't actually stayed at Coconut Bay but I do know that it's located on the windward side of the island. This means that the waves on the beach will be a bit rougher than those located on the western side. That would be a good thing if you're into windsurfing. The hotel itself seems to have good reviews and it was one I considered because it's so family friendly.

Coconut Bay Resort is located in Vieux Fort so you'll be close to the international airport. Hotels on the western side can take approximately an hour ride to get to from the airport. There is an option of taking a helicopter ride to the other side of the island if you decide to stay there.

If you stay at Coconut Bay you'll also be located close to Soufriere and the pitons. That's a good thing if you want to go on any excursions.

Let me know if you need any additional information on other hotels on the island. I'd be happy to help!

Hello everybody!

Coconut Bay was the resort the FI and I absolutely loved... but couldn't justify asking our guests to spend $2000 to attend.

Like 90% of our guests will be flying from Toronto, Ontario but any quote we looked into for November 2014 was outrageously priced.

It doesn't seem to be a popular resort on this website, which is unfortunate because it seems perfect.

We are giving our TAs a list of our top 5 resorts this fall, and Coconut Bay will be on it.  If the quotes come back in a reasonable price range, it might be the one we choose!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
