Iberostar grand hotel paraiso-newbie! Need advice! :)

Recommended Posts

I am planning on having my wedding at the Iberostar Grand Hotel Paraiso July 2013. The response from the wedding coordinator has been a little delayed and vague. How do you pick your decor? When do you pick it...once you are there? Do they have good options? Do they have a picture book that you make a selection from? How many days before your wedding do you need to be there to get this done? As you can see, I am lost. Any info/advice is much appreciated!!

I can't reply specifically to that resort, but I remember being worried (and annoyed!) at the lack of response or delay of response from the WC prior to my wedding.  I think the WC's are just doing so many weddings, that they only deal with them when they are closer to the date.  Which drives us brides crazy when we want to plan!

I hope someone on here can chime in with answers that are specific to your resort.

HI Vanessa,

I am getting married at the Grand in May 13'. First of all, don't worry : ) The cordinator that I have been working with is extremely efficent. Her name is Jessica and she will answer any and all questions you have. I was feeling the exact same way but once you get in contact with her then things will start to flow very easily. Ask me any specifc questions and I will see if I can try and answer them. How many people are you having ?

Thanks,

Hi Vanessa, the WC will send you pics of any examples she has. I think the cake is standard and you have three choices( I think).

Once you contacted the hotel they will give you a list of different packages that are available. What hotel did you decide on  ?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
