$3375-  hall, food, champagne, wine beer

$ 490 - 3 hours of photography with full release of pictures on DVD

$ 400 - wedding cake

$4265.00  But, I also want to do favors and flowers on the the tables so it will probably be closer to $5,000

i think that this is a great idea, i never thought of having a brunch

yes this is so true the venues are proving to be quite pricey.  thinking of maybe doing a friday evening seems to be cheaper than a saturday or saturday evening.  and the alcohol is pricey too.  some venues have suggested cocktails and finger foods for a friday night but most will probably be coming after work so I would like a sit down or  buffet

$5000 is not bad at all. I'm hoping to keep in that range as well

It helps that we are doing a brunch which will take place during the day, keeps the food cost down, and we are only offering champagne, wine, beer, instead of a full bar.  We will do a signature drink but it will be a blushing bride mimosa.  We are using our Pod for music.

My FI and I are doing an AHR since his Dad and my Grandmother will not be able to make the trip for health reasons. We are looking at keeping it pretty simple considering it will be the 3rd time we are getting married (1st at home before the wedding-legal just us, 2nd-desto wedding, and 3rd AHR) We are doing a ceremony in a church since his fam is catholic and mine is not, and then we were thinking of having something catered but keeping it fairly small IE wedding party, family, and people who couldn't come to the real deal due to pregnancies etc. We are hoping to keep the whole bill around $2000 but have not priced out venues just yet. His mom has also volunteered to help us out with the bill for this (yay) ! Hopefully we'll have a more solid price soon...

I wanted to keep our AHR to $5000, but the venue that we fell in love with is $5000 just for the space rental. We are planning to stock up on alcohol at Costco or BevMo and FI has some bartender friends that we could enlist to help out with mixing drinks for a reasonable cost. Then we're planning just to have passed apps, cupcakes and a small cake to cut, an iPod playlist for music, and a slideshow of wedding pics going. I'm hoping we can do it all for $7500.

We are planning to do an informal open house party at our place about a month after we get home! We have a budget of $5000 but that's a lot for an all day house party haha! Probably, $3500 to $4000 is what it could be! Crossing my fingers! Thats open bar, taco man all day, cake pops for dessert, all table and chair rentals, PA system for iPod, all decor, etc. we are planning to show our video from the wedding and have pics around the whole set up. Oh and maybe a photo booth....hope I'm on track haha!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
