I decided to start a new thread after finding no recent information about weddings at this hotel. 

the pics of this hotel are gorgeous and my brother got married at an Iberostar in Mexico and it was the best.  I loved the resort and staff and the wedding was a blast.  We've decided on DR as a location as many of our friends and family haven't been here before but have been other places in the Carribean.  Here is what I have found soo far but would absolutely love people to share any of their info or pictures if they have them! 

We would also have guests staying at the Bavaro and I've been told by Maria that they can come to the Grand Bavaro for the wedding (a half an hour beforehand) but there is a $35 per guest (1/2 of that for kids) and they have to leave afterward and go back to the Bavaro.

 

The menus are included because we wanted a private dinner which apparently you have to pay for the food & for to book the venue (I think)  I am still waiting for clarification on this.  I also don't know anything about the photography yet.  Just starting! :)

I am also starting to look at the Iberostar Grand Bavaro for our wedding!  We stayed at the Bavaro a couple of years ago and the Grand Bavaro looked gorgeous!  We are also planning on doing a full sit-down dinner and for a larger group of guests.  I also inquired about some other planning details like a DJ for the reception, florist and photographer.  I'm happy to share whatever I can find out!

I'm having difficulty from getting responses from many of the resorts (it's been 3+ weeks). It gets very frustrating! Trying to keep their "island time" in mind but all I want is some information so I can spend my $$ with them! Iberostart got back to me with minimal info so this is very helpful.

I'm starting to look at this venue for April 2013.  I read some of the older reviews that were less than positive for the WCs at the resort.   So far emailing with them, they've been quick to respond to all my emails (though they don't always respond to ALL of the questions I've asked in the emails).  Can anyone comment as to their experience in planning their weddings with them?  I'll share whatever I figure out.  Also, are you guys dealing directly with the hotel or a travel agent?

I just confirmed my wedding date at the Iberostar Grand Bavaro.  I agree that they are quick to respond to an e-mail but some of my questions have not been answered.

 

I booked our trip through a travel agent.

 

Does anyone have the pricing for the cocktail hour?

Hi...I am also looking at Iberostar Grand Baravo as a resort option to be married in 2014 but have not had any luck with finding any discussion posts. Any help or in site on this resort would be much appreciated! Does anyone have any price lists then can send me, i can't view any attachments just yet.

Hi All!  I am booked at the Iberostar Grand Bavaro for October 25, 2013.  I would love to share information with any other brides that are getting married there.  Has anyone been sent any pictures from actual weddings at the hotel?  I've had a hard time finding many examples

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
