And how much do you think it cost in the end?
Thanks for your troubles.

Thanks Oksana. Most of my time spent was scrutinizing over the design, and fortunately Iâ€m only making 20 invites. I give a lot of credit to the brides who put 50 or 100+ of these invites together. Theyâ€re definitely time consuming, but well worth the effort especially if you have the time and can solicit help from friends and family.  I donâ€t see why you canâ€t create something fantastic on a Mac, I didnâ€t use any pro software when creating my invites (although it would have made my life easier).

In terms of cost, my invites came out to approximately $3.25 per invite compared to $5.50+ if they were professionally done. If I had made more, than the price per invite would have been even cheaper, but I do have material left over that I will us towards other DIY wedding projects.  Since I only made 20, I wasnâ€t really looking for a huge cost savings, but liked the challenge of creating  these on my own and it was something personal for my guests.

Hi Chocotaco,

I couldn't find the stardream - crystal metallic on their site. I didn't even find anything with 105 lbs. Did you get the luggage tags from there too. Or did you just use another template in word? So you ordered the envelopes but you made your own sleeves? What template did you use for that? What size were your invites, sleeves and tags? Sorry for all the questions but I'm a little lost.

Hmmm, lets see if I can help...

Stardream Crystal on Paperpresentation - you can find this brand and color on other websites cheaper. I only purchased from here because of their customer service, Lime Metallic envelopes and discount. And by the way, it's actually 105lb not 120lb as listed. I spoke with their customer service about this and I don't know why they wont change it.

I used the Aylee bits template for the boarding passes and changed the width to 3.5". I deleted the last pass and made my own luggage tag.  I just played around with rectangle l:w ratios (3.25"x4.8") and different angles:

Yes, all envelopes were purchased and the sleeve was made from 8 1/2"x11" cardstock. You can use either of the templates in the link above (Aylee). I didn't use a template, it wasn't necessary for the sleeve that I wanted. I just did a trifold and cut one end down to 2.5" and at cut off a 30degree angle.

Hope this helps.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
