How much are you spending on other events, besides the wedding day itself?

Recommended Posts

I hadn't even thought of doing a welcome dinner. Are people doing them private or just at a resturant on the resort?

We are earning unlimited private events through our bookings at the resort, so we plan on having 3 or 4 official events- but shouldn't spend too much on them. Just the overage rate since anything over 40 people has a pp rate.

We will be doing a welcome s'mores party on the beach, a rehearsal dinner a cocktail reception following the ceremony and of course the reception itself as all private events. We will then also likely do a catamaran before the s'mores party the first night- and a golf tournament on one of the days.

Not much really, trying to keep the costs down on the wedding related events... we'll do a rehearsal dinner in a local restaurant in Negril. Maybe a girly cocktails night down at the hotel too ;-)

Quite a bit on a party in the UK a few weeks after we get home, this will cost us around £1000.00 ( $1700 for buffet and dj. Will have around 150 people at that party.

Good excuse to wear wedding dress again ;)

Also going to have some further photography done in the UK in our wedding outfits with our show cars.

The only other activity that we are doing is snorkeling- I'm thinking of buying everyone underwater cameras from walmart or something along those lines.

So it will cost us nothing.

We asked if the family wanted to do a day trip with us to the underwater river, but they politely declined due to the lack of time.

I haven't really decided I know we get a free cocktail hour with our group booking on the cruise. I may use that for the welcome cocktails...we'll see
