How far in advance to start booking DW

Recommended Posts

We did at the 9 month mark and I still feel that was a bit too early. Some people are saying the longer you wait the cheaper the flights get I sappose that I didn't want to take the risk of the resort being booked tho. I guess the good thing is that I booked with all people I really really want to be there and then I any other amity o friends want to wait and book closer to the ate they can still do so just not be able to fly with us as a group.

Although they are booking for next april already they don't have anyone on staff to take wedding bookings yet. Since it'll be a small ceremony of about 10 people my fiance and I are considering waiting it out. Good to know prices will drop a little more in June. Then maybe another resort will sway our decision. How long before the wedding does the actual planning begin? I understand you want to book the date to make sure you get the date you want. But back and forth with the wedding planner? 6 months before the date? 3 month??

If your wedding guest list is only 10 people I would wait it out and book very last minute by yourselves online with sunwing or something.  Thats how I book our yearly trips, like 2 weeks before departure! just an idea especially for Cuba you would have no problems finding a last minute deal for 10 people :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
