when to give OOT bags

Recommended Posts

i plan on bringing them down and having it in their rooms waiting for them when they get there (hopefully). Otherwise we are having welcome drinks and food that night and i can give it to them there.  I 'plan' on bringing everything down there with me in some extra luggage.. but i haven't tested packing everything yet.. eek!

Hi,

We're actually arriving a day earlier than our guests, so I'm bringing the bags with me and putting them together once we arrive.  They will be delivered to the guest rooms the following day.  I really didn't want to take a chance of something getting stuck in customs or just not arriving on time.

I am giving out as many as possible before we leave since we are going on the plane with the whole group and I cant pay for all those extra luggage fees (as well as other stuff I have to bring).  Also in Mexico, they have wierd custom rules about bringing bulk items so I would look into that if I were you.  Some people are meeting us there so those few bags will come with us.  I may have an informal get- together in my house before we leave and give them out there.

Thanks for all the responses!! I think  am going to haul it all down and put them together there to hand out. still have to plan some kind of welcome party, as im not staying at an all inclusive this could get pricey,, we are al ready paying for a full reception dinner with open bar for our wedding and dont know if we can afford to host and pay for a welcome party as well

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
