Karla, those are really beautiful.

Our friend is a designer. He helped us come up with this concept (they came out SO COOL that I can't wait to take a picture for you all).

We did passports. They look just like real passports. Inside, we even replicated the paper that they use. The cover has the eagle, but we put a champagne bottle in one talon and a glass in the other. Above the Eagle's head is a taco and below him it says, "In Tacos we Trust"

The inside picture area has a picture of us and a total spoof of every detail (even the bar scan is funny - it says PARTY<CABOSANLUCAS<<NATASHA<SHAWN<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

11<11<2006<<7H4NKY0U4C0M1N6<<L375P4R7Y!<<<<<<<<<<< 0YEAH).

Here's the copy that we used so you can get a taste for what it's like:

The Future Conahan Family of the United States of America hereby requests all whom it may concern to permit the wedding guest named herein to party without empty glass or hindrance and in case of need to give all lawful fete and libation.

Then, on all the blank pages, we re-created stamps (just like when the countries stamp your passport but we printed them) with information about the wedding, getting there, renting a car, etc.

Oh - I have probably 50 extra covers in case anyone wants to replicate what we did. They are VERY cool - foil stamped. I have a PDF rendering of them, but I'll get photos soon.

Hey,
I think you'r talking about my posting in the old forum. I'm the one that posted the pics of the Barcelona samples I got.

I'm glad you still like them! I felt bad killing your happy mood when you found them!! :)

I was so bummed I didn't order the Barcelona menus and the table numbers. I really loved the design! So are the real invites with clean edges, etc?

:)
I'm still trying to come up with something similar I loved the design so much! I'm so glad they worked out for you! That site is such an inspiration, I love all their designs.

Ok, here's my invitation. I loved the texture of the shells on the paper. We used 2 fonts to make it easier to read. My invitations were a family affair. My sister did the calligraphy. My brother designed the map. I designed the information card. My best friend and I created the rehearsal dinner inviitations and stuffed envelopes. It was a group effort to get all 100 invitations out the door.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
