Thanks for the advice we ordered a custom guest book from Shutterfly with our engagement pictures and are giving our parents framed pictures for christmas.  Michael's had buy one frame get the second for a 0.01

Great deal! Wish I could have gotten in on that.

We did the custom photobook too (going to get people to sign it yearbook-style) through Photobook Canada, and at our AHR there will be lots of photos displayed everywhere; They are also on our wedding website, and a slideshow at our AHR. Picaboo had a good groupon on a while ago, so I made some calendars for 2013 for our parents, etc., and those engagement pics were featured heavily throughout.

I wish I would have found those Michaels frames though!

We sent out save the dates in January and had E-pics done in May.  I used our engagement pics for Thank you cards for my showers that I made on shutterfly and then used the pics to help create our photo guestbook for the wedding along with other pics of the 2 of us over the past 7 1/2 years! :)

Awww I wanted to have an E-session and include our dog. You can use them at the reception for a slideshow, or frame a few of them and use them as table numbers, or hang them in a line as guests are coming in to sign the guestbook etc.

We might forego an E-session unless I can find a cheap one on Living Social. I have seen deals in the past for $99 but there are usually restrictions on locations and dates etc. I wanted to do them along the Bronx River Parkway- there is a park with bridges over water and picturesque scenes and we can include our beloved dog (we already added her to our cake topper...we wanted her to be our flower girl :( ). Right now, an E-session is not in our budget, but I am hoping to secure a second job on the weekends to pull in some extra funds. My friend who recently got married said the E-session was the most fun part of the process for her.

Initially I wanted to use the pictures in photo cubes on the tables as table numbers, but they don't fit in with the rest of our decorations. I want to incorporate pictures from our courtship somehow because we have many great ones from travels and our HS prom! I will find a way to sneak em in lol

But there are many uses for the E session photos- and they are so nice. I have not seen any E-sessions I have not liked. It gives you a chance to show your personality.

I was on the fence on whether or not we would have engagement photos taken. Since we are bringing out photographer with us we decided to do an e-session to get to know her before. I'm glad we did because she is awesome and we will have those photos forever. I personally think having photos you love is something you will never regret.

That's a good idea.  Use the e-session as a test to see if you like the photographer's style before using him/her for your big day!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
