Same-sex wedding in Cabo this August - headed to Cabo this weekend to look at venues

Hi Everyone,

After 10 years together, we got married in New York last month and are planning a wedding in Cabo for August. This weekend we're going to Cabo for a little celebration and to pick a venue for our special day. Dreams does not perform same-sex weddings, but so far we're considering Riu Palace & Pueblo Bonita Pacifico. Any other ideas for places to scout out?

Hey there! Congratulations!

 

I love the Barcelo and Playa Grande in Cabo San Lucas. Playa del Arco is also nice, though I don't know what their all-inclusive or wedding packages are like. It might be mostly owners...

I didn't even realize there were resorts not doing same-sex weddings (come on Mexico, you used to be cool) so I don't know for sure about if those three will. Sure hope so.

Congratulations!  Mine is a same-sex wedding, as well.  Dreams resort was the first place I really fell in love with, so I was crushed when they said they wouldn't perform a same-sex ceremony.  I found an amazing place in Playa del Carmen that I'm even happier with, so while I don't have any suggestions for you in Cabo, I offer my support & confidence that you'll find an amazing venue!  I had to research from afar, so it took me a while, but you have the wonderful benefit of being there in person, so I bet it will be a breeze.  Can't wait to hear what you decide!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
