Quote: not me, but it was an easier image to manipulate and our bodies were similar enough and I was curious about converting my dress to a sweetheart. But this is if it helps or changes anyones opinions this is me in the sample back in October.  I assumed people knew it wasn't me since the person in the dress is white and I'm not.  But I'm 5'10" and all legs (torso of someone of is 5'5") You look beautiful in your dress!!! Gorguese! I think you'll look great either way with the sash. I have a fit and flare dress that is similar to the top and middle of your dress. I am fairly short at 5'5 so to elongate me I chose for the sash to go just under th bust line (empire) ...and I too am havin them put the sweetheart into my neckline, I think it reall softens the look which I love! You look fantastic! 700

Beautiful!!! Definitely the natural waist!  I don't think you need to do anything else to it.  It's stunning!

LOL@ she's white and I'm not...sorry, I'm oblivious at times and didn't even look at your profile pic as i was writing!! hahaha!

Ummm...I would actually like to see how the belt looks a little higher. It may work too. Either is great! YOU LOOK STUNNING! And I'm having dress regret as I stare at that pic cuz that's very similar to one that I really wanted!! LUV IT!

And def do the sweetheart! It will add so much to it and def adds a feminine touch!

Love love your dress!!! I will look for you on the 18th so I can see it in person!! :) I love lace, mine is all lace too! I will add a pic of mine, it's just on the model though, the photos I have aren't very good, will take better ones at my fitting next week.

No worries...  I will probably play around with placement of the sash on Saturday during my fitting, but since I'm flying solo I wanted to get some feedback from the lovely ladies of BDW. And thanks for your $.02 on the neckline.  I think the determing factor will be whether or not the scalloped adge can be maintained as that's definitely a detail that I don't want to lose. But a sweetheart neckline is the only dress requirement that I had that this dress doesn't meet... we shall see?!?!?!

I understand dress regret, that's how I ended up with this one! I'm sure you look beautiful in your dress. Have you posted pics on BDW yet?

Yet another beautiful lace dress.  You must post pics of yourself when you get one.  We never look like the models and tend to look better.

Yes, please find me and say hello.  I would love to meet a BDW - May 2013 - Now Jade Bride!

Ooooh, I like it! Lace seems to be trending for destination weddings this year. And to think that I originally didn't want one, and didn't try a single one on until the 4th bridal appt.

that is exactly my story too, I liked the look of lace but not for myself, until the lady brought in this dress and I put it on and its like the dress chose me. I would have never given it a second look as it has a somewhat sheer mid section, but I put it on and had that moment, and my mom cried so I sort of knew that was it.

I haven't posted a pic yet but I will. I don't know why I have this idea that my dress has to be kept secret. LOL. Some of my colleagues are on here and are always scoping things out. The last thing I need is for them to tag me on FB or something. But wateva...I will post one soon. Or maybe after the wedding. Or maybe I'll just post with a threat to anyone who knows me. Hahahah! JK!

Mine is lace also. I LOVE Lace. On the wedding shows they always say lace is old school but I think that's what I love about it. And I always think they look amazing in it. It's romantic and soft and girly. Hmmm...all the things I am not. But it's one day of my life where I can transform myself and channel my inner Beyonce so I'm going BIG!! :-)

Anyhow, I'll say it again...You look amazing in that dress!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
