I mean it's not like the groomsmen stuff (ie Golf stuff and Beer) so what now??? And I don't think he'd enjoy lipgloss and pink spanx like the girls. UGH I need some ideas ladies!

I agree with the girls above, add a bottle of his favourite booze or a booze local to your destination plus a money clip or shaving kit. It really depends on what his interests and hobbies are, and I guess if he shaves his face or not. Lots of guys rock the scruff these days! If he likes to go to the spa maybe you could get him a GC for a spa day either on the trip or back home that you guys can do together?

Would he enjoy a massage? Or perhaps an excursion? I was having issues figuring out for my MOH (no other bridal party) since she makes such good money, and pretty much buys herself whatever she wants! I thought a memory of something from the trip would be a nice alternative.

And yes, you should for sure start an Etsy account for those that don't want to make them! Yours are some of the best I've seen, DIY or for sale online.

Sure! They are coming over on Saturday.  I will be sure to take some photos and send them to you.

Thanks for your positive encouragement :)

Thank you, that would be awesome! I always seem to have trouble securing the ends. The parts where they divide confuse me too... haha

OMG ladies! I am literally overwhelmed with all of your insightful and heartfelt suggestions. I knew you would be the best group of ladies to ask!!! I love all of these ideas. I am totally going to have to start putting these ideas into play. I love each idea so I'm going to try and do a lil something of each suggestion. It's so hard to find something for this boy cuz he's a massage therapist/esthetician so he gets pretty pampered! I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

I live in Playa and rarely head up to Cancun so I don't know any specific locations, although I'm sure you could ask anyone in Cancun where a flower shop is and they'd be able to point you in the right direction. Cancun is a much busier and bigger city than Playa.

I can only speak for flower shop prices and locations in Playa Del Carmen. The flower store I recommend in Playa is on the corner of 30th Av and Calle 16. It is called Floreria Sac-Nah and is right across the street from the Walmart. Their email address is sacnah@hotmail.com. They don't speak English so I reccomend using Google translate if you want to email them to pre order your flowers. I would say you're having a gathering of friends and don't need them arranged (they charge more for arranging), and don't mention they are for a wedding!! I wouldn't do it too far in advance either since "gatherings of friends" aren't usually planned months ahead of time.

Their price for gerber daisies is 220 pesos or $17.24. I'm sure they have lots of colours!

Ok so I looked it up and we're only about a 15/20 min ride from the Walmart so if it's across the street I should be good. I took almost 5 years of Spanish in High School, including AP, and converse of a basic level after forgetting a lot of it over the past 10 years I've been out of high school. If they don't mind me sounding like a 4 year old I can talk with them en Espanol. I remember more when I've had a few margaritas so maybe I should down a few before heading down there. HA HA!! So I'll be like a drunk 4 year old. I just cannot imagine paying $65 per BM bouquet!! I have 4 girls....who in their right mind would do that for something they'll hold for for 20 min?? So speaking of Playa maybe you'll have to show us around on my bachelorette night. If you're around town I'd love to meet you face to face and buy you a cerveza for all your insight and golden nuggets of advice!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
