I have the girls gifts figured out but what do I do for my Man of Honor/GBFF(Gay Best Friend)? I have a cute flask so far but I am at a total loss. I mean it's not like the groomsmen stuff (ie Golf stuff and Beer) so what now??? And I don't think he'd enjoy lipgloss and pink spanx like the girls. UGH I need some ideas ladies!

Cuff links or a watch maybe... fun dress socks in your colors to wear at the wedding...

Oh I love the coloured socks idea for a GBFF!! If all the girls are wearing coloured shoes... Great photoOp. That standard picture, bride and all her girls feet (to show the shoes) only the GBFF lifting up his pants slightly to show coloured socks that match the BMs shoes lol.

So true about the photo op... I showed Justin and surprisingly he was all about it - me and my chartreuse green shoes and I just found him a pair of argyle green socks

I agree with this 100%!!!  All the "extra" charges are really adding up and it's annoying!!   The way I look at it, we would have had 200 people at a formal wedding at home.  Although nothing is less expensive in a destination wedding, we are saving on all of those guests that aren't able go.  I still think paying for open bar at an all inclusive is ludicrous but we have no choice angry.gif

We are totally having a beach themed laid back AHR because I'm not paying for a wedding reception twice!!!

UGH! So I wanted to have a real laid back reception and thought it would be fun to have buckets of beer and wine on the table. Anyone wanna guess what they're charging?? Min price of a bottle was $21 and a bottle of Beringer White Zin was $27!!! You can get that at a liq store state size for $10 for a liter. My BFF BDW Kellaway had the smart idea to get buckets while we're down there and just grab the beer out of our mini fridges.

Ladies!

I am desperately looking for cheap beach bags.  I was hoping for bulk jumbo bags to come in stock at dollar tree, but I just called and they are not going to be getting them in bulk any more.  I also called the individual stores and they said that they are not going to get them.  Any one have any leads???

Please help!

The three quotes I got came from Elite Media Concepts, Kevan Stewart, and a local club dj, which is who I believe we're going to end up using. All charged the same price so I assume that's the going rate. Elite and Kevan have websites - just google them as I can't recall off hand what they are.

On a sidenote, I have been to a JA wedding where ELite was the DJ and it was great!! They played every type of music, genre, era etc and did mashups,  & mixes. Felt like a MuchMusic VIdeo dance party lol.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
