This is the shoes that I had bought for my ceremony as I thought it would be easy to walk on the grass with a cute wedge.

They were on sale at Aldo for $30 or so...still available online if anyone needs a pr. and they also come in nude and other colours such as blue, black etc.

I think now I'm just going to wear flats though. These are pretty high. They're comfy (I've actually worn them out since I got them to test them) but I feel like I'd rather a flat now. And heels for reception.

I'm new to this thread and I'm getting married on 5/25 at El Dorado Royale in Riviera Maya Mexico.   Here's what I got to wear on the beach.  It's from Call It Spring, which is actually an Aldo company too.  and they're really cheap right now since It's out of season.

only 14.99 since clearance sandals are all an extra 50% off right now... they have other really cute silver and rhinestone sandals too.  and free return shipping, so I just ordered I think 9 different pairs of sandals, 3-4 styles in 2 sizes.. and then returned all the others when I settled on these.

If anyone scores a good deal on paper parasols let me know.  I want to buy 15-20 of the them for people to use on the beach during the ceremony.  .. Can't seem to find a decent deal anywhere.. I'd really love to buy them off of another bride.. but not turning up many leads there.

They ended up costing about $15-$16 each total.  I think it's a GREAT idea to do one per couple instead of doing them for each person!  In hindsight, that's what I would have done to save a little $ and not have to bring as much stuff.  My FI is going to totally freak out when we start trying to pack all of that stuff  into our luggage!!!  Here's a pic of the canvas bags.  I got them from InGreetings.com .  You can customize there, but I saved a couple $ and just did Avery "Light Fabric" Iron ons at home and they turned out fine.  I also included a picture of the foot jewelry I'm making for the bridesmaids (please excuse my haynessly LARGE feet! ;-)

Great price!  I ended up buying off ebay:

I considering looking for something more elaborate, but I'm reaching the point where I'm just happy to knock things off the list.  I do love these, and the heel isn't so high that I'll have to worry about walking in the sand with them.  They're just a departure for me, possibly the most casual and low heeled shoes I've ever bought!  I'm just hoping I'm happy with them when they arrive.

Everyone else in the wedding will have barefoot sandals or nothing at all.  One bridesmaid bought this pair on ebay:

Not really. Ya you really have to keep an eye open for them. Both Groupong and Living Social do deals but not very often.

are you joking? There are Vistaprint deals for Groupon and Living Social that come out monthly!  They are always available. Whenever I have needed one, I've always been able to get one.  When you are ready for one, just google and you'll find a link somewhere to a deal.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
