I LOVE Cabo!   I wrote a post on my blog (CourtneyMara.com) about Los Cabos:  http://courtneymara.com/2012/01/09/memorial-day-weekend-in-cabo-san-lucas-mexico/.   Check it out!  It has our itinerary.  We LOVED the pirate ship snorkeling cruise.  It would only be good though if you don't have the most formal of guests since it is an open bar and super cheesy that it is hilarious and fun!

my fiancé is obsessed with the fact that he is doing this excursion with a few of our guests who are interested, I think he may be more excited about this whale shark excursion than our actual wedding!! :)

it looks like there is some flight price fluctuation since the holiday season kicked off even for flights for next Spring.  I noticed a price jump of at least $50 for flights coming from all over the country to Grand Cayman in the last 3 weeks.  For example, the nonstop flight from NYC to Grand Cayman was $468 and is now going for $517. Same flight.  Hope things go down after the holidays in January. They probably will.

I hope you're right. Flights for my Fi's parents went up $75/per person in the past 4 weeks they're debating whether they should book now or wait until after the new year in hopes that it will drop back down to the price that it was...

If it's anything like JA, I'd suggest you book it now before your outta luck. If your guests book with itravel2000, they have a price guarantee so that if it goes down you're guaranteed to get a reimbursement chq in the mail up to $200. that gives a bit of peace of mind.

We are getting married in PC in May.  The prices from Philly have been hovering around $615 (my FI is in charge of flights and doesn't want to drive to NYC to save some $ and wants direct flights only).  When I picked the place, I was expecting them to be closer to $450.  :-(  I am going to check out that itravel2000 site for sure!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
