Hey Lynn,

Thanks for compliment on the pic!

I love the door hanger and wedding event schedule .  Just for clarification, is the wedding weekend event a separate item or is it the back of the door hanger? A couple things that stand out to me - maybe consider bumping down the text a few lines on the hanger to fill out the white space better.  The text seems to start too high and a little space between the sky image and 'Do Not Disturb' may look better.  On the wedding weekend event, the font and color used for ‘Wedding Day†seems a bit random and doesnâ€t fit with the rest of the design and I think the black text is a bit stark. With that said, Iâ€m wondering if you can introduce a darker font color as an accent (deep eggplant) and incorporate it into your design… maybe us it for the day/date headings as well? Maybe use this darker color in place of the color used for ‘wedding weekend events†and ‘Iâ€ve been Partying…†so that thereâ€s a bit more of a contrast?

Hey Tova,

Thanks for the quick feedback!

They are actually 2 separate documents. I haven't decided yet if the doorhanger will have the same info on both sides or just on one side and blank on the back. That might come down to difference in cost between 1 side and 2 sided.

I'm wondering if the colors aren't showing up the same on your monitor. I'm at work now and the colors aren't the same on this monitor for some reason as they are on my laptop at home.

But there's no black text anywhere on either document. "The Big Day" is actually a silver font that looks like rhinestones. On my monitor at work the text looks kind of pink or magenta but it's the same font she used for the invitation which when printed looked like a dark and lighter shade of purple (which was what I was going for). But I do like the idea of trying to find an even darker color like eggplant for the headings.

Because of the hole, I don't think we can go too much higher on the text, but I do think I might be able to go up a litte bit for better spacing.

Thank you so much for all your suggestions!

Super cute idea!! Can you share the template as a word/pp whatever program you used as opposed to the pdf?

Thanks!

Hey thank you so much! I'm sorry but I didn't design it so I only have the PDF...I have a graphic design person that's doing all the collateral pieces for me.

(There are some times I can't confirm yet which is why they've been left out.)

Also, Tova I love the pic of you and Justin!!! You look awesome together!

Ooooo nice job. Where are you getting these printed, are they for vistaprint or does your graphic designer print them for you too?

Okay... I get it.  I had to increase the the maginifation of my PDF to 200% to see the silver/crystal affect in the text (nice touch by the way).  But that does make me wonder how it will tun out once printed; have you done a test print yet?

No I haven't because she just sent them to me last night and I'm still tweaking it. But I'll do the same thing I did with the invitations. The guy at the printing company I used printed out one invitation and boarding pass RSVP card and completely assembled them before printing the entire job at no cost. I'll have him print one of each of these items to make sure they look the way I'm expecting them to before I have him print the whole job. I won't print them for a while until I get some firmer #'s back top of the year. But I wanted to go ahead and have everything designed so when I have my #'s, at that point I'm just having them printed and it should all come back within a day or so.

Thank you so much for your help! I just sent your suggestions over to Novia for her to make some changes.

I was going to have a few people quote the job for me. With the invitations she did I had a few printers quote it out and then had them print on my textured cover stock to make sure their printer could do a good job. I ended up going with the 2nd to lowest bid because his printer did the best job.

This time I don't have any special paper to consider so I should be able to go with the lowest bid.

I've never had Vistaprint really do anything for me except business cards. Has anyone else had them print other things and was satisfied with the quality?

Ive just had vistaprint do business cards as well so i have no idea, but it seems alot of brides used them for alot of things, especially doorhangers. But it doen't seem like they really have a good deals anymore, maybe thats just in canada, but no more free things :( I was just going to print all my stuff off at home on my inkjet, but i gave staples a try, i dont need fancy cardstock or anything, ive designed all my stuff with just a white background, and use their 80lb cardstock and its all come out ok, and fairly cheap.

Ok thanks! I'll try them. I may check Vistaprint out just to see what the price would be. I'm like you I don't need any special cardstock this time either. I get emails all the time from Vistaprint but I haven't been paying attention to what the offers have been.

Mine is May 10, 2013 in Oahu, Hawaii. But I think my fiance' is about to call the whole thing off if I don't decide on a beach! I have changed my mind on beaches so many times it's not even funny so now I think I've resigned myself to having it right in front of the hotel we are staying at which is the Hilton Hawaiian Village. My concern is that it's SOOO busy but I've had concerns about the other beaches being too windy, too pebbly, too far from the hotels, etc. I also feel weird not booking a venue and just showing up to a beach site where other ceremonies may be taking place. I guess this is what we call, "control issues!"

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
