May 2013 Brides

What is everyones color scheme? I hadn't really put any thought into this, but lately I've been seeing a lot of deep purple and really been gravitating towards it. I thought it would look really nice with the light gray suit my FI is going to go with (something like the below). My question: is a deepish purple too dark for a beach wedding in May? My dress is kind of elegant/glam/old Hollywood and I thought purple was a regal color to go with it. I look really terrible in warm colors, so we were definitely going to go with a green, blue, or purple. Any input would be appreciated! Please be honest...we haven't picked anything yet so I'd rather know now than after we start buying stuff! Like the below are some examples I liked:

My colors are chartreuse and Sangria... I love bold and and saturated colors. My Muse was a green cymbidium orchid which is my favorite flower.  I have plenty of inspiration pics for my color scheme if you're interested

My colors are white and eggplant (deep purple)...I think purple will look awesome with the gray and I definitely don't think it's too dark for a May wedding. We're getting married in May as well and my girls' dresses are white with eggplant accents and the guys will be in white suits with eggplant shirts or ties, depending on their roles.

I like they ideas for replacing the OOT bags with something a little different

I investigated about 10 photogrpahers and don't recall hearing anything about this company, it doesn't even sound or look familiar.  Do they have a website or blog with their current portfolio? They might be able to provide reference upon request or maybe post this question the the EDM thread.  Since they are apporved for that resort, you may come across other brides who have worked with them.  Good luck!

Looks like I'm about the week before you at EDR! Have you looked at the EDR thread at all? There is so much information there that's been helpful to me. Feel free to send me a message or anything if I can help :) Maybe we could even share decorations if we are doing any of the same stuff. Are you having a large wedding?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
