My FI grandpa just passed :(  He was one of the only people who booked his trip.  Its been a rough last week for us.

My sister is pregnant and going CRAZY!  I feel like I don't even wait her to be my MOH.  Arggg...

Next on my list is getting Bridesmaid dresses, invites and buying tickets.  I don't know where to find BM dresses.  I would like to avoid David's bridal if I can.  I was thinking maybe looking at etsy.  We are thinking of going to Belize for a few days after we get married.  But, I found out we would have to fly back to the US and then back out to Belize.  Weird. Not sure if its worth it.

I hope I am not on too much of a rant, but you ladies seem to always understand!  Less than 200 days~

I am so sorry to hear about your grandfather!!   And, I am sorry to hear about the stress you are under!  We are totally hear to listen!!

Hey Bride81, so sorry to hear about your FI's grandfather! Please know that both your families are in my thoughts and prayers.

I wasn't sure who you were talking to regarding the link for the $15 download for the passports but I've been speaking with David Mills...his email address is capt.david.mills@gmail.com...if you reach out to him and he'll send you a Paypal link for the $15 and then all the instructions you'll need!

I purchased paper from Michaels (which is what Vanessa and David initially did) but I think they're recommending a different paper now. He'll give you all that information if you reach out to him.

They used hemp cord to bind theirs and then manually bound them together, but as mentioned before, I'm not a DIYer at all! So I had the print shop that printed the invitations cut, assemble, bind with saddle stitches (basically 2 small staples along the spine) and round the corners for me. I thought what they charged me to do all that was VERY reasonable and I didn't have to get all the girls together and make them spend their Saturday putting together my invitations!

Good luck with your invitations!

Question: What are your Fi's and Groomsmen wearing? For anyone getting married on the beach, are the guys wearing shoes? If so, what kind?

I also booked my flight on AirTran a couple nights ago!  Such a relief!

I read on a bunch of places online that AirTran is not too flexible with the gowns, but one person suggested packing it in a garment bag, another suggested buying priority boarding (which I did) because then you have a better chance of either getting it in the flight attendent closet or having enough room in the overhead bins.

My FI has picked his outfit and the outfits of his BM and my dad.  We are getting married on the beach.  They are all wearing clothing from http://www.islandimporter.com .  My fiance is doing the custom Monaco suit and custom almafi shirt.  My dad and his BM are just wearing the custom pants and shirt.  He chose coral for the shirts and the suit and pants will be in ivory.  I ordered swatches from them and they were quick.  They also have pretty good reviews. You can see real wedding photos on their facebook page.   As for shoes, they will all most likely wear the beach sandals from island importer in brown.

I believe I will have mine in 2 garment bags!! :) When i called air tran told me you can only chose the priority boarding when you check in online, so I plan to do that as well.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
