It comes in like 10 flavours but my favroite is eitrher the white or dark chocolate rum.    dark chocolate mixed with cranberrry juice tastes just like a chocolate covered cherry... so delish! I want to go back to the caymans just to get this rum!

HA HA HA!!! HOLY CRACKER JACKS woman...I literally almost spit my smoothie all over after reading this. That is such an awesome name  for rum!! Thanks for sharing

I feel as if I haven't been on here in forever and I really have missed all you ladies. It's been a busy few weeks for us. We've had our engagment pics taken, booked another 10 people, I got another wedding dress (looooong story), and have got the things ready for our DW boarding pass invites. As soon as I get our pics back and our invites done I'll make sure to post for you ladies!

Awesome...Kudos on getting so many things done; you've been a busy bee.  I cant wait to see your e-pics and invites.  Oh, and congrats on saying yes to the dress again. I'm glad that you followed your heart and found something that made you feel comfortable and more bridal.  You made a great choice and I love the pleated ruffles.

In case anyone else has been eagerly awaiting:  AirTran has finally released its May 2013 schedule/prices!   I have been following the prices for plane tickets since early summer and the prices have slowly going up and up so that now they are $100 more than they were in the summer.  Have you all bought your plane tickets yet?  I am trying to decide should I just buy or hope they go down... (Although I quite nervous that they will keep going up and up).

Also, have you all bought travel insurance?   I can't decide if it is worth it because I figure that so many people are coming for us and so almost anything would keep us going there...

I always get travel insurance when I travel internationally. It isn't just good to have if your trip gets cancelled, it's really helpful if you get delayed!  If you have a layover somewhere and you miss your connecting flight due to the airline, your insurance kicks in. Covers meals and accommodations if necessary. Also covers you for lost/stolen/damaged baggage (not a huge amount of money but it helps).  We actually had this issue when we went to Guatemala and it covered our hotel stay and meals!  Totally worth the extra $28 for travel insurance IMHO.

As for flights, why AirTran? Is it because of pricing? I just remember a few years ago when we had our family reunion in Panama, a lot of my family members booked flights with them and many of them had issues with delayed/lost luggage and also cancelled flights was an issue. This was actually during high season! No weather issues, they just sucked!  It was the cheapest airline I think for a lot of people coming from all over the country. But man was I glad not to have used them.  Maybe they have improved in the last 3 years? I don't know. All I know is I wish JetBlue was flying out of DC to Cayman!

AirTran is the only nonstop to Jamaica from DC. We don't want to worry about missing a layover on our wedding weekend. Plus they have great times for flights. I need to talk to my TA abt travel insurance bc if we don't have any layovers I just don't see the point. Although I am sure she is going to argue for it. I guess I would more so do it for the emergency medical insurance it can offer. I will need to think about that.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
