I too bought bags from Target... But also Paper bags from OT.com that says welcome to our wedding... Not sure what to do.. I love our totes, but they are big!  I may just lay them out on a table at our welcome dinner (1 per couple) along with the paper bags for each couple filled with goodies.

They will be here Tuesday, hopefully they are good quality!

Between the bags and towels an entire suitcase was filled, we are getting an extra bag each when we fly, but I think I'll need that for other "stuff", considering we are traveling for 2 weeks (honeymoon right after wedding week)

What else are you using in the OOT bags?

ahh the dreaded OOT bags lol  Okay, you ladies have forced me to start thinking about them and basically, I've come up with this. I am buying most of the things down in Grand Cayman because I want to add local flavor. I am nixing toiletries and the like.

From home:

Cartoon map of Cayman Islands and Welcome magazine with note from us, itinerary, etc.

Getting In Grand Cayman:

Tortuga mini rum cake (known for this!)

bags and tissue paper (their little 99 cent store is a few blocks from my hotel)

local saltwater taffy (they are known for this too!)

Regular & light Caybrew local beer

Might throw in nuts or something but that's about it.

short, sweet simple :)

I know your very crafty and creative when left to your own decives, and chancce are you've already come up with something brilliant in your dreams last night...but here's a final thought/suggestion.  I'm it could be neat if instead of the flat coral band if your created your own floral pattern using the coral and eggplant dahlia images that are on your invite and maybe use the purple ribbon that was just purchased instead of the burplap to create a two layered bellybandand maybe finish it off with a grey twine tie as shown:

You read my mind with this! But i was thinking of using the coral and grey flowers with the eggplant ribbon over top. or somthing along those lines anyway. But i also like that grey burlap.... i wonder if i could find some of that

Ive never come across this before.. i didnt even know there were brides out there that fuse their rings together. I guess that is something else to think about

I like this idea... then you dont have to worry about 'filling' the bags.. so you dont have to buy as much or haul as much down with you. But target??? what happened to the old navy bags?

Oh another thing thats amazing that you can only get in the caymans.... this sounds weird but its called big black dick rum.   lol... yes im serious. It comes in like 10 flavours but my favroite is eitrher the white or dark chocolate rum.    dark chocolate mixed with cranberrry juice tastes just like a chocolate covered cherry... so delish! I want to go back to the caymans just to get this rum!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
