But it's true, as long as your fiance and yourself are there, no one else really matters.

No, we're staying at Dreams Palm Beach actually. Maybe our paths will meet up a different way while we're down there, on an excursion or something. :)

I completely agree. I guess they feel like if they have to pay for a vacation then they should get a choice in the location... Umm wrong!.. lol

Aww. boo.. :o( But maybe we will cross paths :o) Are yall planning any excursions? I've seen some people are having boat rides, etc. I've been so worried with other plans, I haven't even thought of these things yet.

Do it :) So fun.  Definitely start looking soon.  They recommend going at least 8 months before.  A lot of dresses come from over seas.  If you need it altered that can take more time.  So give yourself lots of time in advance!

Haha, exactly. But seriously, you picked a great resort so they shouldn't be complaining! You did the hard work for them. If some of my guests had their way, we'd be staying in some cheap-o two star resort just to save some coin.

I know we're going to do excursions, but what exactly I haven't decided on. I also haven't decided whether we will "plan" one for our guests. My maid of honor is so gun-ho about the excursions and she keeps asking if I've looked into this one or that, but I really haven't decided yet! I think I'd like to go on La Barcaza at some point, it looks really nice. I don't think it's something that has to be planned that far in advance anyhow, so I'm not too concerned about it at the moment. ;)

If you do decide to go on an excursion, let me know. Maybe we'll book the same one. :)

I went out dress shopping and fell in love with a dress that was $1500 - WAY more than what I wanted to spend on a dress I'd have on for a few hours. I found the SAME exact dress on ebay, same designer, right size, brand new, never worn, still with tags, for less than half the cost of the dress in the bridal salon. I bid on the dress Saturday and found out I won the auction tonight! I was the only one that bid on it. I'm UBER excited! Has anyone else purchased their dress through any non-conventional methods?

Congrats!!!!! Gotta love ebay! what designer/dress? I bought my dress the conventional way through a bridal salon but i guess you can say i went unconventional because i have yet to try it on (eeekkkkkkkk) I just fell in love with one on line and no store in my city/province had a sample. So i decided to just go for it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
