omg love yours, beautiful! and LOVE LOVE LOVE the yellow/navy/blue dresses!  I see cute dresses like that and I just think damn where am I going to find something that cute.  I love that they are more sun-dressy than bridesmaid dressy.  Guess I have to start searching!  How soon do people buy bridesmaids dresses?  Not sure if I should work on it this summer or wait... I guess if I don't get dresses now I'll have a hard time finding something next winter/early spring.

Where did you find those pictures?  I love looking at cute inspiration photos...

I know I love how casual the dresses are.  I always wonder if the bride found them and put them together or if the bridesmaids did.  Cause it works so well!  Me and my bridesmaids are on the hunt now ... for exactly the reason you mentioned, you never know what the selection will be like this year and I would rather not be stressing over it right before the wedding.

I get all of my pictures from Pinterest.com ... you should definitely sign up if you haven't already.  It's amazing for weddings!

HOLA -

I'm a May 11th 2013 bride. Resort's booked, deposit has been sent, and STD's are mailed... I'm getting married on a Saturday at the RIU Palace Riviera Maya in Playa Del Carmen, MX. I did have a question that I have been asking myself since booking. My wedding is on a Saturday with is May 11 and I have my travel dates set from May 8th thru the 12th. Do you think that I should change my wedding date since the next day people will be leaving? I was thinking that people will be partying the night of the wedding and then catching a flight the next day home, I'm a little concerned about this. Any suggestion would be great. I can change my day to the 10th but I really wanted to get married on the 11th because that number is special to me. My birthday is Nov 11th, my FI birthday is Sept 11 and our daughter was born on Dec 11th.

What do you guys think?

+1... I would stick with the 11th and consider changing your travel dates if at all possible.  I am also getting married on a Saturday and I have guests leaving on both Sunday and Monday. But the only guests tentatively leaving on Sunday are the non-alcohoic drinkers. Hangovers and plane rides are no fun.

Aw that is SO tough!  That day does sound special.  I'm with the other girls on changing the travel date ... but I understand that might get complicated or not be an option at all.

You have to weigh what's important to you most.  Think about your first anniversary and every one in the future.  What do you want to remember about your wedding day?  What memories do you want to have?  The ceremony won't change, or the dinner, just what happens afterwards.  If you and your family/friends are really excited about dancing and partying than you should change the date to the 10th for sure.  Then nobody has to worry about how tired they are or how they are feeling!

I'm going to try and get my girls to get their dresses this summer. We went to a wedding in May in Aruba a few years back and I had a really hard time finding a nice summer dress before we left. Everything was more left over winter/springish.

Do you think that it would be too much to add an additional day to our travel dates?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
