Both sets of chocolates came with us on the aircraft in our carryon luggage...each set packed in a larger box. It wasn't an issue at all actually...we went from the airport to an a/c van to check-in at the hotel to our a/c hotel room...so they were never really out in the heat for an extended period of time. The day of the wedding, it was in the mid-20s but with a cool breeze off the ocean.

As for the tip/room key card holders, they came from ebay. Just search for waterproof id/badge holders and lots of options come up. I think I paid around $20 for 50 of them. You can buy horizontal or vertical (ours were vertical...we thought they would hang better/not get in the way as much). And one tip for anyone who struggles to pry them open for the first time (I was using a butter knife at one point and getting soooo frustrated because I was gouging them!)...simply use your blowdryer to warm the plastic for 5 or so seconds until it softens and they will open up like a dream!!!

Wow MJKH...thank you for posting that!  The amount of detail that you put into your special day is amazing.  Makes me a little nervous though, because we have family from all over the world coming and we, ourselves, are coming from Norway, so won't be able to bring as much stuff for details.  Wish I could send stuff to the hotel in advance.

Congratulations!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
