Hi JBride

I am getting married January 9th, 2013 @ the Iberostar Quetzal in Playacar. We managed to negotiate an amazing price for our guest for the week of the wedding, 1225/pp AI! The Iberostars are all very beautiful hotels and Playacar is a great place. Secluded enough to make you feel relaxed but close enough to PDC for shopping or nightlife if you wish. We are flying out of Winnipeg, MB but we also negotiated rates with our TA for departures from Calgary, Edm & Tor. All are under $1300/pp. I suggest you contact a trusted travel agent that will work with the tour operator to find you your best deal. We are a great example of what a good negotiator can get you without having to give up location or amenities. good luck!!!

@jbride- we recently booked our wedding February 22nd, 2013 @ ocean coral & turquesa. It's about 20 minute ride from cancan airport. The resort is located in Puerto Morelos ( which we've been to before and loved) prices for all inclusive package with Airfair out of Minneapolis are approximately $1200-$1500 pp for a week long stay. Their packages Are affordable and flexible for what you want in your wedding. There are also 3-4 different locations to choose from for the ceremony and also the reception. Happy planning!!

Thanks Matt! Your pictures are stunning... I wish the hotel fee was not so steep so we could choose our own photographer but I just can't justify a $500!!!! dollar fee plus whatever the package will be. I loved the pics though, makes me happy I chose this hotel.

Hola Trace2013,

Thanks for your comments and please don't let the vendor fees keep you from choosing your own talent. Know that you have the option of booking a room for our photographers.

Booking a room is an optoin too... seems to be more affordable when we are simply treated as guests, which in many of our clients cases, we are...

Happy Planning!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
