Photographer at Ocean Blue

Recommended Posts

Has anyone got married at the Ocean Blue and Sands resort recently?

Yinette just emailed me back and said they no longer offer outside photographers since they now have there own.. but the prices are $$$$$. Anyone know?!

Also - heads up the 2013 prices are not posted on the website and for the Sand Extravagzna package have increased.

Outside photographers are not allowed? When I booked a few months ago for April 2013 I was told outside photographers were allowed and that they just had to pay the day pass. I already have my photographer booked (Caribbean emotions) so I would be pretty upset if they are no longer allowed!

What is the new Sand Ext. Price?

DominicanAlly - Yinette emailed me the "new" wedding package prices for 2013. All the prices went up except for the Ocean Romance and they added a ton more to the Blue Affair. The price was $2300 for the Sand Ext and is now $2530.. and the Blue affair went from $950 to $1750.00 they are no including a 2 hr cocktail reception etc.. whats your email I can send you the new packages?  They told me no outside photographers are allowed as they have there own photographers. In the meantime I was communicating with HDC Photos and Caribbean Emotions and they both told me that they recently did wedding at the ocean blue and that the Ocean blue is probably just saying they don't allow outside as they want u to use there photographers. The people they are using do really nice work but are honestly double the price then HDC. When are u getting married in April 2013? We are looking at April 13 aswell.

I'm with Alicia--- the policy may have changed but I booked a few months ago for April 2013 and have Yinette's email that the outside photographer just needs to pay the day pass. I have HDC booked.

Also, she told me that when I was booking the 2013 prices weren't out yet but they would honor the 2012 prices.

It sounds like we got lucky booking early. I hope you can get them to work with you for whichever photographer you want!

Yeah I confirmed with Ada after reading this, and she repeated to me that my outside photographer (Caribbean Emotions) is ok, and it was the outside vendor fee of $70. Is that what you were told too Jade?

Agreed!!  I'll pay it if I have to but I am absolutely bringing my emails quoting me $50 and also that they would honor 2012 prices. It's only fair for booking early plus I have the email backup. msnwink.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
