Hello ladies! I am very close to booking my wedding (June 2014) at Melia Real! I have gotten a ton of information and communication has been amazing so far! If anyone needs any pricing info, please let me know and I can send it to you! For you ladies that are a little further along in the process than me, have you chosen all your florals/centerpieces/linens yet? Who are you working with for your flowers? Any and all information is appreciated! Thanks!

Hello out there! May 2015 bride-to-be here, and thrilled! Just when I think I've thought about nailing down a decision, I find out new info, and change my mind, good thing I've got so much time. My fiancé and I are planning for Cabo, on the sand wedding is my dream, and really unsure as to what location. We plan on keeping the numbers, hopefully between 30-50 guests (depends who wants to come on vacation I guess), a sit-down style dinner, mariachi band for the appy-drink-&mingle hour while we're having photos. I've read about a cigar roller on site, and that sounded cool, hot the hair place all picked out.... Still stumped on what resort for us. We tossed the Sunset de Mona Lisa for the whole wedding, but travelling from a resort doesn't appeal, plus, I don't get the sand in my toes, like I want. I'm thinking seriously of the Melia Cabo Real for the whole shebang, as the photos are beautiful, the father and brother golf.... a lot ! Lol, and seems to be pretty reasonable, although I know from now until then, prices will change. Any one have any recommendations for vendors or locations that have been stellar for you? Ie, photographer ( no video), music... Another item we have been on the fence about is hiring a travel coordinator. We are ok with people wanting to stay elsewhere, depending on their wants/needs, and I've found in the past that I can get much better prices than what I've paid when going with a coordinator to 'arrange' my holiday, especially when a wedding is involved, it seems the prices jump when they hear that word? Maybe I'm mistaken or missing something? Thanks all for your input, and good luck to all of you out there!! Anne

I just got back from a week vacation at the Melia Cabo Real its a very nice resort.  The grounds are well kept and the service is pretty good.  Actually saw them setting up for wedding and reception on the beach it was very nice.

Thank you for the review! I've recently sent a message to a WC locally to help me sort through things. I figured might be nice to have some help!

What we paid to go for a week with flight was about $1,000.00 that included transfers but your guests could stay 3 nights 4days and it would be much cheaper which isnt' too bad for an all inclusive.  I wish the resort we picked in Cancun had these prices but we fell in love with much more expensive resort hopefully some people actually come if not it'll just be me and my groom. Good luck on picking your resort.  P.S. I think i have some pics of the wedding when they were setting up I can upload them so you have an idea of what it would look like.

We will all be coming from Canada, and the 1week AI prices for flight and accommodations run somewhere around $1500-$1800 for the week, so, if it's any consolation, your prices are very reasonable from where you are! I figure, if the guests really want to be there, they will make efforts to do so. Those that cannot, well, we'll miss your faces on our special day, but no hard feelings, we'll show ya pics when we come home :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
