    Hello Ladies,

I have been following your posts for the last few days and itching to get on here! It took me until today to be approved.

I am thrilled to be getting married at the ROR on January 17th, 2008 at 4:30 pm. I just started planning, and thanks to many of your posts have a general idea of what I would like for my beach wedding. You all have great ideas! I was worried when I read many of you are getting married in May 2008 and already have your venues picked out. That's when I called my travel agent (aka. mother-in-law-to-be) and put a fire under her butt!

I do have some questions about the Plantation Restaurant and would love to gather some anwers from you all. Chandlyn told my MIL (mother in law) in order to book it for two hours at $250 each hour, it will also be $50 per person for the dinner? Is this true? I recall someone posting an included menu (I believe it was Lizz) that was no charge. Also are any of you being specific about which level you are holding your dinner? Upstairs or down?
    I would appreciate any input.

I'm so happy I've found people to chat with about my wedding! I think everyone else around me has tuned out

I'm looking forward to hearing from you all!

Welcome to the forum! There is a free menu option for the plantation restaurant. I believe when you book the plantation, you book the entire building, so you can wait to specify what floor you want.

Hi Welcome to the board. I leave in 16 days!!! I have stayed at the Riu before but I cant recall going upstairs in the plantation. But for some reason I am thinking its not a big open space up there its just a balcony area over looking the inside of the restaraunt with just some tables. But if you would like me to take pictures when I am there I would be happy too. Just email me to remind me, I will send them to you when we get back. For any of the other Brides if you would like pictures of something just let me know and I will be happy to have more reasons to take more pictures...lol Just let me know what you guys want...

Welcome to the forum and as far as the Plantation I am having my reception there and I believe you are renting out the space and you can decide if you want it upstairs or downstairs. There is also a menu included in the price as well.
