Hey Fellow BBPD Brides!

I confirmed our wedding date, time and package this week. Can anyone tell me what the process is now? We were initially going with a different resort and we received a welcome package explaining everything. It also had every single fee, the process and cancellation info in the packet. After we confirmed we haven't received anything else. And we did not pay a deposit for the wedding package yet. Can someone that has gone through this let me know what to expect? It's a little weird in a sense because I feel like I haven't really done anything.

Ladies...its FINALLY April 2012 and for those of you who are having 2013 weddings you know this is a huge date because we can FINALLY LOCK IN OUR WEDDIN DATES!!!! Not to mention get updated pricing. I have waiting 6 months for this day to finally come so I can move fwd with things. I know I am probably a bit ahead of the game but I have emailed the girls, both Marlen and Jeanne and haven heard back from them. Does anyone have the 2013 pricing already????

Hey Trivera5521

You should have something soon. I know they don't send email over the weekend. Keep in mind for every 10 questions you ask they answer 1-2. lol So it will be alot of emails back and forth.

Hi Ladies! I'm a newbie to this website and I am planning a june 2013 BBPD wedding. I was just curious what you guys recommend. Is it better to deal with the resort directly or just to get a local travel agent? I recently spoke to a destinationweddings.com specialist and wasnt to comfortable with the information she gave me. Basically i have to sign a 10 pg contract and give a $5000 deposit and hope i get my money back. HELP! What should I do

Hey ncordero6504,

Look at the other BBPD thread. There is alot more info and pics there.

But to answer your question I did pay a deposit once I selected the resort and that was 100 per room.

    • Paradisus is actually notorious for doing this and we have to fight with them all the time to get the rates lowered. Are you using a TA to assist you?
    • Moon palace cancun offers Sikh priest. Janina Mendoza in weddings was very nice and able to help me.. suggest to contact her.
    • First of all congrats!!! Costa Rica is a magical place for a wedding  Are you working with a travel agency for your rooms? If not, I would highly encourage you to do so because an agent can often help you get in contact with the wedding department to get that conversation/communication going. I would suggest working with Wright Travel Agency, the official agency of this forum. These agents are specialist in destination weddings and have access to great promotions and group perks in addition to being able to secure the best rates for your group. Best of all the agency does not charge any fees to use their service, but it will take a load off your plate not having to worry about arrangements for travel for you and your guests. Shoot an email over to info@wrighttravelagency.com and one of the team members will get back to you and get the ball rolling for your group and the wedding department! Best wishes!!!
