I loved the starfish it really made my bouquet pop. That is the resort bouquet and it was real flowers they did a fabulous job. But I love me some bling so I bought bouquet jewelry which is swarovsky or any crystal starfish on a long stem that easily sticks into ur bouquet. I brought with me a large crystal starfish http://store.thebridalbox.net/bjstarfish.html  that's for the large one. don't get confused not too many people sell the large one it is 2" and I only did one of those ( about $17 plus shipping) and than I got 6 of the smaller crystal starfish for the rest of the bouquet http://weddingfactorydirect.com/stboje.html these are the smaller ones and usually sold in sets of 2 for $10 or $12. The shipping sucks because u have to get them from different places but they were so worth it. and than I got rhinestone bracelet for the stem. I gave it to my coordinator and they set it in my flowers.

Great planning thread! Everything looks amazing and looked like everyone had so much fun! Love the maraca tags. I made business cards from VP but they don't look that great. I will have to check out Michael's to see if I can find something.

Congrats!!

I found the tags and labels at Michael's by Gartner studios to be the absolute best. And i ordered from staples and a million other places ...trial and eror lol. The ones from Gartner that are sold at Michael's come either label stickers or perforated in alll shapes so that after you print on them with templates found on their website than you punch them out and attach to your project. http://www.gartnerstudios.com/shop/wedding-supplies

They were great. all shapes and some already have holes for attaching. or buy stickers and than attach to their gorgeous tags also sold in Michael's and don't forget to use the coupons I lived in there with all my coupons lol.

I did make the starfish ties and they were sooo gorgeous if I say so myself lol. I did not take a measurement unfortunately but I used three fifferent colors and just kept measuring the same length 3 at a time and used about a roll and a half of 100' rolls of each color for 15 starfish. I wanted to make 30 one for each chair but I just didn't have enough room to bring them so I compromised and the truth is I didn't even need that many with the chair sashes. She hung them for the ceremony on the aisle chairs and than around the gazebo and moved them to every other chair at the reception but it would have been fine to have a few at each table and our chairs like she hung them on. Any way I got the raffia at a great place it is a wholesale place and the 100' roll was pretty cheap and they had every color. you have to be a company but you can put any company info that is what i did. I have the name of the company at home and I will forward it when I get it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
