The guest's write the newlyweds a "well wish" on a card that has ribbon attached, then hang the card on a tree (similar to the pic I posted). This is in lieu of a guest book. It is pretty expensive for my florist to do the tree, so I am wondering if this is something I could attempt on my own.

oh, duh, i probably could have figured that out if i thought about it, lol....

 

you could find a cool looking branch outside and use that (we actually had one on the bottom shelf of the console table - but do it right before the wedding b/c it gets moldy after awhile). get a styrofoam square from a craft store and pop it right in there...then cover the square w/ flowers or whatnot, securing w/ hot glue....

 

my only question is how are you going to travel with it....?

Traveling would be the only problem.. silver or gold spray paint and some sort of base that won't fall over. You can always cover it with a draping cloth of some sort.. It would be so pretty with strings of crystals (you could easily make or buy from a craft store. The jewelry section at Michael's already has them strung together).

 

How much is the florist charging? Seems weird that it would be that much.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
